The Pop-Up Market Experience
This project was developed as part of an Intern Program at Marriott Vacations Worldwide to reimagine the guest experience at OceanWatch Villas through a resort-hosted pop-up market. The concept brings local artisans, farmers, and small businesses on-site during the week, creating an accessible, community-driven experience for guests while supporting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Designed to enhance engagement and donate to the resort's beloved cause, The Children's Miracle Network, the market balances creativity, strategy, and social impact.
From concept to execution, I built a full implementation plan covering vendor selection, logistics, legal considerations, and risk management. The project was selected as a finalist in the Intern Innovation Program and approved by Resort Risk Management. The innovative solution offered by this idea was to utilize a vendor insurance that provided the same coverage for those who may not have the $1 million insurance policy required by the resort. With its feasibility and long-term value recognized, the initiative is set to be implemented at the resort in Summer 2026.
